  • Alex Kirry, Radio Host

    Alex studied Broadcast Journalism and Spanish at BYU and has been working in radio since 2004. He grew up in a couple of places–born in Texas before completing high school in the Seattle area where his parents still reside.

    At BYU, Alex was a writer and performer in the popular sketch comedy group “Divine Comedy”, has performed in numerous improv comedy groups and has acted in feature films and television commercials. Now, Alex hosts Unrivaled on The Zone Sports Network with Scott Mitchell.

  • Ben Anderson, Radio Host

    Ben Anderson is a Utah native who has been covering the Jazz and the NBA since 2011 when he began his career as a broadcast assistant for David Locke and the Utah Jazz Radio Network.

    Since 2011, Anderson has worked as a radio producer, on-air host, and is currently a full-time writer covering the Jazz for KSLSports.com.

  • David “DJ” James, Radio Host

    David James joined The Zone in April of 2002, beginning a long partnership with Pat Kinahan. David grew up in suburban San Diego and he is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara. He started his radio career while in college, working part-time at KDB and then full-time at KTMS and Y-97.

    His television sports reporting career began at KEYT in Santa Barbara in 1988. From there he moved to Sacramento where he reported at ABC’s KOVR before moving to Utah in 1992 and becoming a TV sports reporter.

  • Hans Olsen, Radio Host

    Hans was born and raised in Weiser, Idaho. He was the state champion wrestler and all-state football player. Has signed and played with BYU from 1996-2000. Following his days at BYU, he was signed and played with the Indianapolis Colts for the 2001, 2002 and 2003 seasons.

    Hans has worked in sports radio in Utah since 2006 and has co-hosted the Hans Olsen and Scotty G show since 2014.

  • Jake Scott, Radio Host

    Jake Scott has had a lifelong passion for radio, doing his first on-air DJ shift in just the fourth grade. Jake has been with The Zone for almost 20 years, starting as an intern in 2003.

    He has worked in many different capacities during his career from producer to show host, to program director. Jake is currently co-host of the Jake and Ben show The Zone, and anchor of the pre-half and post-game shows for the Utah Jazz radio broadcast.

  • Jeremiah Jensen, Sports Anchor

    Jeremiah Jensen is an Emmy award-winning sports anchor and reporter that has been covering sports in Utah for KSL since October 2005.

    Jensen, a native of Star Valley, Wyoming has a passion for covering the sports teams he grew up watching. He recently won a regional Emmy and UBEE award for Best Sports Story in 2011. His work has also been recognized by the Utah Society of Professional Journalists.

  • Michelle Bodkin, Utah Utes Insider

    Michelle Bodkin is a Utah native who grew up in Holladay. She attended the University of Utah from 2008-2011 earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Criminology. Bodkin made a sharp career turn in 2013 when she began covering Utah football as an intern at ESPN 700.

    From there she joined the staff at UteZone where she resided for nine years before joining the KSLSports team in 2022 as the Utah Utes Insider and co-host of the Saturday Show. She also enjoyed a short-lived stint as the Coaches Assistant for Dennis Erickson with the Salt Lake Stallions in 2019.

  • Patrick “PK” Kinahan, Radio Host

    Patrick Kinahan arrived in Salt Lake City in August 1993 and neither the market or PK has been the same since. For 14 years he worked as a sportswriter for the Salt Lake Tribune, for which he won Sports Columnist of the Year and primarily covered college football and basketball.

    Fulfilling a dream, PK started as a morning sports talk show host in April 2002 and hasn’t looked back. Career highlights include the Final Four, NBA Finals, Fiesta and Sugar bowls and the being interviewer who got the “magic happens” and “you’ll let down 9 million Mormons” quotes.

  • Sam Farnsworth, Sports Anchor

    After working as a sports intern at KSL in the fall of 2002 Sam was hired to work as a sports producer for KSL through July 2006. Then he left for Colorado where he worked for 13 years as a sports anchor.

    Sam married Sadie Peavler while living in Colorado and their four children were all born in Colorado Springs. After eight years in the Springs, they built a new home and thought they would be in Colorado for many years to come. Less than a year later the call came that there was an opening for a sports anchor at KSL. It was too hard to pass up.

  • Scott Garrard, Radio Host

    Scott Garrard has been a fixture in the Utah Sports Radio scene since 2003. He is the current co-host of the Hans Olsen and Scotty G show – part of the Zone’s lineup since 2014 – as well as the Zone’s Program Director.

    Garrard also serves as the play-by-play voice for Utah State University football and men’s basketball and was recently named the 2020 Utah Sports Broadcaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association.

  • Scott Mitchell, Radio Host

    Sports have always been a passion in Scott Mitchell’s life.  From playing quarterback at the University of Utah to his time as an NFL quarterback, football has been his love.

    Being able to talk about sports every day is his dream job.  And to do with Alex Kirry, on Unrivaled, who shares his passion for sports is a dream come true.
