SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake continues its climb up the MLS Power Rankings following yet another impressive home performance against the San Jose Earthquakes last Saturday evening.

Real Salt Lake is listed as the fourth-best team in the league only behind Supporters Shield leaders LAFC, Eastern Conference leaders NYCFC, and recently crowned Champions League winners Seattle Sounders.
Against San Jose, the club only allowed the Quakes six shots and one shot on goal while RSL managed 16 shots and 6 on target. Furthermore, San Jose entered the fixture having scored the third most goals to date in the Western Conference and possessed Jeremy Ebobisse, the league leader in goals scored, and Cristian Espinoza, the league leader in assists, to very few chances.
It was a dominant display at home for Real Salt Lake who won its sixth game in seven attempts at home. Real Salt Lake’s only fixture in which they were unable to pick up three points at home came against Toronto when they settled for a 2-2 draw. Real Salt Lake is yet to lose at home and surpassed the best start in club history while beating San Jose.
MLS All-Star Voting
MLS opened its MLS All-Star voting today in preparation for this year’s MLS All-Star game on August 10 in Minnesota.
Real Salt Lake should be well represented, assuming the improved form continues. Goalkeeper Zac MacMath leads the league in saves, is in the top five in save percentage, is second in clean sheets, and is in the top 10 in goals conceded.

Pablo Ruiz has also had a career breakout season in the heart of midfield. Ruiz acts as the organizer in the center of the park and is crucial in connecting the backline to scoring opportunities.
Other players who have excelled this year for Real Salt Lake include Justen Glad, Marcelo Silva, Andrew Brody, Justin Meram, Jefferson Savarino, Maikel Chang, and Sergio Córdova. Although it is highly likely RSL is only represented by a handful of players, the club will likely improve its singular Damir Kreilach representation from a year ago at the All-Star game.
Next Match
Real Salt Lake will host Colombus on Saturday, June 25, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m.
The match will be available to stream for free via the KSL Sports and KSL 5 TV apps or on KSL Sports dot com.
