SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau is among the several golfers that honored Tiger Woods in the final round of the WGC-Workday Championship on Sunday.
Several golfers including Tony Finau wore the same apparel that Tiger Woods would normally wear in the final round of tournaments on the PGA Tour. Finau showed up with a “Sunday red” shirt, along with black pants and his hat was backwards.
Rory McIlroy wore red and black apparel for the first time in his career on Sunday in honor of Woods. Other golfers that paid tribute to Tiger Woods were Cameron Champ and Tommy Fleetwood. Bryson DeChambeau had “Tiger” put on his golf ball.

Tiger Woods was involved in a single car rollover accident in California on Tuesday, February 23. Woods was transported to the hospital where he went into emergency surgery. The press release states that “the vehicle sustained major damage,” and that “Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles Country firefighters and paramedics.”
The statement also confirms that Woods sustained injuries. Shortly after the news went viral, his agent Mark Steinberg updated the world on those injuries.
“Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.”
The injuries to Woods were non-life threatening.
