SALT LAKE CITY – Three tight ends with local ties including Dalton Kincaid, Isaac Rex, and Cameron Latu have been named to the John Mackey Award watch list.

The John Mackey Award is given annually to the best tight end in the country and they have highlighted Kincaid, Rex and Latu as players to watch this season.

Kincaid plays for the Utes, Rex is a standout TE at BYU and Latu is a rising star at Alabama that prepped at Olympus High School.

Dalton Kincaid

During the 2020 season, he appeared in 12 games on special teams. The 2021 season was a breakout year for Latu. He set the Alabama record for touchdown catches by a tight end with eight, surpassing Irv Smith Jr.’s record of seven in 2018.
