Isaiah Miller Throws Down Hammer Dunk For Jazz In SLC Summer League

SALT LAKE CITY – Guard Isaiah Miller had a nice hammer dunk in the fourth quarter for the Utah Jazz against the Philadelphia 76ers in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
Isaiah Miller and the Jazz hosted the Philadelphia 76ers at Vivint Arena on Wednesday, July 6. Sixers guard Grant Riller had the ball stolen by Miller as the 6’0 guard ran down the floor and threw down a right-handed jam.
It was the first points of the fourth quarter for the Jazz. That play fired up the crowd at Vivint Arena as the Jazz cut the 76ers’ lead to 66-63 with 9:08 remaining. Miller was up to four points in the game.

Miller finished with four points, six rebounds and four assists as the Jazz fell to the 76ers 86-82. Philadelphia put the clamps down on defense with 17 steals, including four from Charles Bassey and Myles Powell.
The Newark, New Jersey native played college basketball at UNC Greensboro from 2017-21 and was an undrafted free agent. In college, Miller was the SoCon Player of the Year twice (2020, 2021), three-time SoCon Defensive Player of the Year from 2019-21, three-time first-team All-SoCon selection and the SoCon Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2021.
He averaged 15 points or more in three of his four seasons in college, including 19.2 points per game average as a senior.
Miller played for the Minnesota Timberwolves Summer League team in 2021 and was waived prior to the season. After playing for the Timberwolves in the Summer League, Miller signed with their affiliate Iowa Wolves in the G League.
Leading the way for the 76ers is Charles Bassey with 17 points and nine rebounds. Trevelin Queen added 15 points. For the Jazz, Justin Robinson had 17 points to lead the way. James Palmer Jr. chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Jazz will wrap up Salt Lake City Summer League action on Thursday, July 7 against the Memphis Grizzlies. The game will begin at 7 p.m. MT on ESPNU and KSL Sports Zone.
