SALT LAKE CITY – Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a clutch putt on the final hole to win “The Match” on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

Aaron Rodgers teamed up with Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady as they faced Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

The four franchise quarterbacks played in a 12-hole exhibition at Wynn Las Vegas. Both teams were tied going to the last hole. Each golfer was given a mulligan, with three of them still not using theirs heading into the 12th hole. Brady overpowered his tee shot over the green on the par three. The future Hall of Famer took his mulligan and landed his ball in the water, leaving it short of the green.

Mahomes used his mulligan as well after landing in the water on his first shot. Then he approached the green but had a long putt. Josh Allen overpowered his shot off the tee, like Brady, so the two young QB’s elected to use Mahomes’ shot for them to both play from. Rodgers hit a beautiful tee shot that left his ball about 10 feet from the hole.

Allen putted first and barely missed the cup. Mahomes put too much power into his putt. That left either Brady or Rodgers to take the match with a birdie putt. Brady missed the cup slightly to the left. Rodgers nailed his shot to give the veteran star signal callers the win.

Each NFL player seemed to enjoy themselves. One of the challenges they had was when they used their mulligan, “Jake from State Farm” would hold up a giant cardboard head of NBA Hall of Famer and TNT analyst Charles Barkley. The QB using their mulligan had to throw a football at Barkley’s face before they were allowed to hit their mulligan shot.

The event raised enough money to donate 10,258,000 meals for Feeding America.
