SALT LAKE CITY – One future BYU football player probably pulled down a lot of laughs for his attire at prom this past weekend.

Roy High’s Parker Kingston, a wide receiver signee in BYU’s 2022 recruiting class rolled up to Roy High’s prom rocking the blue suit worn by Harry Dunne in the 1994 comedy Dumb & Dumber.

The Lloyd to Kingston’s Harry outfit was Roy High track & field athlete Ethan Ecker. See the pictures for yourself. It’s an impressive outfit. Dare I say, he’s putting out the vibe?

Kingston played QB at Roy, will play WR at BYU

When Kingston isn’t pulling in laughs for his attire at prom night, he was a dual-sport athlete during his prep career with the Royals. Kingston signed with BYU on a scholarship this past December. The Cougars first recruiting class since being invited into the Big 12 Conference.

At 6-foot, 175-pounds, Kingston is expected to line up at wide receiver during his football career at BYU. In high school, he lined up at quarterback, replacing Jaxson Dart at Roy after the current Ole Miss Rebel moved to Corner Canyon. Before committing to BYU, Kingston was previously committed to the Air Force Academy.

BYU football coach Fesi Sitake is excited for Kingston’s potential

“He’s another guy that can play on both sides of the ball,” said BYU Passing Game Coordinator Fesi Sitake on Signing Day. “In fact, in recruiting him just through the camp circuit, he was a guy that was playing both sides. Ultra-competitive. He took every single rep, and was making sure he was being seen and noticed. Just love the dog mentality he’s got to him.”

Kingston ran track & field during his high school career, and his personal best in the 100 meters was a time of 10.79 at the Region 1 Championships in 2021. His speed and versatility is viewed as one of his strengths.

“He’s one of the top track runners in the state and I think that speed will be utilized heavily on special teams, return units, and obviously receiver as well,” Sitake said. “I’m super excited for what he is going to bring to our group.”

Well, if Fesi Sitake needs a guy to also bring the laughs to his receiver, he can probably turn to Kingston for that as well.
