Utah Valley Takes Down Seattle U With Big Second Half

OREM, Utah – The Utah Valley Wolverines picked up a very important win after beating Seattle U 67-52 on Thursday night.
It was a big win for positioning in the WAC standings for Utah Valley against Seattle U as the conference tournament in Las Vegas approaches.
Fardaws Aimaq had another strong performance with a double-double, scoring 19 points and pulling down 18 rebounds. Justin Harmon was the only other Wolverine in double figures with 17 points. Trey Farrer added nine points off the bench.

Utah Valley shot 41% from the field, 37% from the three-point line and 59% at the free throw line.
They outscored the Redhawks 28-24 in the first half and 39-28 in the second half. Only two Seattle U players scored in double figures, led by Darrion Trammell with 11 points and Riley Grigsby with 10 points.
Seattle shot just 27% from the floor, 23% from beyond the arc and 64% at the foul line.
As a result of the poor shooting, Utah Valley pulled down 50 rebounds, including eight offensive boards.
Utah Valley improved their record to 18-9 overall and 9-6 in WAC play. They will host California Baptist on Saturday, February 26 at 2 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
