Rudy Gobert Scores In Double Figures As France Falls To Spain In Exhibition

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert scored in double figures as France fell to the Spanish National Team in a pre-Olympic Games exhibition.
France and Spain played the exhibition on Saturday, July 10.
Gobert had 12 points in France’s 87-79 loss to Spain.

In addition to his scoring, Gobert pulled down four rebounds.

Former Jazz guard Ricky Rubio led Spain with 23 points.

Gobert and France will continue to prepare for Tokyo 2020.
The French National Team will participate in Summer Games from July 23-August 8.
It will be the Jazzman’s second time playing in the Olympic Games. After assisting the French in their preparations for the 2021 Summer Games, Gobert played in five contests during the 2016 Olympics. He averaged 5.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game.
Gobert and France’s first contest of the Olympics is against USA Basketball on Sunday, July 25.
