PROVO, Utah – BYU football is looking to land another Wilson at quarterback. This time it’s Corner Canyon signal-caller Isaac Wilson, the younger brother to Jets QB and former BYU star Zach Wilson.

The younger Wilson, who’s gearing up for his sophomore season this fall, announced the offer on Twitter. According to Wilson, he received the offer from BYU’s Kalani Sitake and Aaron Roderick three months ago, but his father, Mike Wilson, wanted to wait “until the time was right.”

Last season as a ninth-grader, Wilson was the primary backup to now USC quarterback Jaxson Dart at Corner Canyon. The Chargers won the 6A State Championship and finished with a perfect 14-0 record.

Wilson now steps into the spotlight for a Corner Canyon program that hasn’t lost a game since older brother Zach was the Chargers QB in 2017.

BYU is the first school to extend an offer to Isaac Wilson. Wilson is listed at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds.

This spring, Wilson has flourished as a member of the Pink Outlaws-Maile 7-on-7 team. Led by Wilson at quarterback, the Pink Outlaws recently won the Reign 7-on-7 title.

Mike Wilson quote tweeted his son’s offer tweet with the following message, “I felt it was better to let you continue to develop. You do have a lot to prove. But you have been killing it in 7on7 football. I’m so proud of your development over the past few months. Love you! Keep working!”

When Zach Wilson signed with BYU in the class of 2018, it has since led to two of Wilson’s younger brothers joining the Cougars. Josh Wilson, a member of the 2020 recruiting class, is a rising linebacker prospect who is expected to see increased playing time this fall.

The third Wilson brother, Micah, committed to BYU this spring. Micah Wilson is a linebacker in the class of 2022 who will play his senior season at Corner Canyon this fall.

Isaac Wilson is a class of 2024 recruit. BYU has extended offers to three prospects who are about to enter their sophomore seasons this fall. One of those three players has already committed to the Cougars in Easton Baker from Stansbury Park.
