UVU Center Fardaws Aimaq Honored As Riley Wallace Player of the Year

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Valley center Fardaws Aimaq received the Riley Wallace Player of the Year Award following the 2020-21 college basketball season.
Aimaq was given the honor on Thursday, April 1.
The Riley Wallace Player of the Year Award is named after Riley Wallace, who welcomed multiple transfers during his coaching career at Hawaii.
It is given annually to the top transfer in Division I college basketball.

Prior to his transfer to UVU, Aimaq played for Mercer.
In addition to the Riley Wallace Player of the Year Award, Aimaq was honored as the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year and WAC Defensive Player of the Year award.
He was also honored as First Team All-WAC.

During the 2020-21 season, Aimaq is averaged 13.9 points, 15.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 22 games.
Aimaq helped the Wolverines to an 11-11 record and a share of the regular season WAC title.
