SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Social media flooded with reactions following the news that former BYU and NBA legend Shawn Bradley had suffered a severe bike accident.

The Dallas Mavericks, one of Bradley’s former NBA teams, announced that the former BYU star had been hit by a car while riding his bike in January.

The incident occurred near Bradley’s St. George home and left the former NBA player paralyzed.

Following the news, teams and former NBA players shared their thoughts and well wishes for Bradley and his family on social media.

One of Bradley’s NBA teams, the Mavericks broke the news and shared a message.

One of Bradley’s former teammates and current Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash expressed his feelings during a pregame interview only hours after discovering the news.
