Players Separated After BYU’s Trevin Knell, Pepperdine’s Colbey Ross Fight For Jump Ball

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Officials separated players following a heated moment after BYU’s Trevin Knell and Pepperdine’s Colbey Ross fought for a jump ball.
The No. 2 Cougars and No. 3 Waves played in the WCC semifinal game at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, March 8.
With 12:54 remaining in the first half, referees had to separate Cougar and Wave players after Knell and Ross had a testy fight for a jump ball.

Officials paused the action and went to video monitors to review the play.

After a few minutes of stoppage, neither team was assessed technical fouls or any other violations.
The play was ruled as a Pepperdine turnover and a jump ball won by BYU.
The Cougars took possession trailing the Waves, 17-9.
No BYU player had more than two points at the time of the review.
