SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah quarterback Jake Bentley threw a very nice 20-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Britain Covey.
The TD by the Utes gave them a 24-21 lead over Colorado with 6:23 left in the third quarter. It was Utah’s second straight TD in the second half over the Buffaloes.
Covey had a punt return for a touchdown and a receiving TD last week against Oregon State and now has two receiving TD’s this season.

Colorado had a 14-10 halftime lead but it didn’t look good to start the second half as Colorado wide receiver Brenden Rice had a 61-yard touchdown catch on the first play of the third quarter to give CU a 21-10 lead.
Utah answered with a three-play drive that was capped off with an 18-yard touchdown run by Ty Jordan. Midway through the third quarter, Covey had 8 catches for 69 yards and one TD. Jake Bentley was up to 202 passing yards, completing 16 of his 26 pass attempts to go with two touchdowns and one interception.
