Orem LB Noah Sewell Commits To Oregon After Winning 5A Championship

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Orem High School linebacker and 5-star recruit Noah Sewell announced that he is committing to the University of Oregon.
The highly touted recruit decided to join the Ducks after leading Orem to their third straight state championship.
He announced his commitment in a media scrum when KSL Sports’ Sam Farnsworth saw his gloves that said “Oregon” on them.
In Orem’s 21-14 win over Timpview, Sewell racked up 103 yards and one touchdown on just 11 carries, averaging 9.4 yards per attempt. He was just as impressive on defense, leading the team with 13 tackles, including two tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups. In high school, he was a running back and linebacker. When he goes to Oregon, he will be playing linebacker.
Sewell is one of the highest recruits that the state of Utah has ever seen. According to 247, Sewell is the top ranked recruit in the state, the second highest rated linebacker and the 20th rated prospect in the country.
He received offers from Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, California, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Hawaii, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Utah, Utah State, Virginia, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin.
His older brother Penei is starting on the offensive line for the Ducks and is one of the best offensive linemen in the country. Oregon is currently in position to play in the College Football Playoff with a 9-1 record.
