Wilson Hits Hifo For 75-Yard TD, Longest Play Of Their Careers

TOLEDO, Ohio – BYU quarterback Zach Wilson threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to receiver Aleva Hifo in the 3rd quarter against Toledo. The score was the longest play of Wilson and Hifo’s careers.
The Wilson-to-Hifo bomb gave BYU a 14-3 lead 20 seconds into the 3rd quarter against the Toledo Rockets on Saturday, September 27.
Wilson found Hifo downfield for the strike. Hifo made a Toledo defender miss a tackle and then ran to the endzone for the Cougars’ second touchdown of the game.

Wilson and Hifo’s previous long connection came in BYU’s bowl win last season against Western Michigan. It was a 70-yard touchdown.

Hifo’s reception against the Rockets gave the BYU receiver his second 100-yard receiving game as a Cougar. He had 148 yards against East Carolina in 2017.
Wilson was 17/29 for 259 yards and a TD after the deep throw.
