SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – NBA veterans Tony Bradley and Willie Reed headline the group of players that the Utah Jazz will send out for the upcoming summer leagues.

Utah’s summer league play will begin with the Salt Lake City Summer League that will run July 1-3, followed by the Las Vegas Summer League that will take place July 5-15.

Of the 15-member group, which includes the Jazz’s three second round picks from the 2019 NBA Draft, Bradley and Reed are the lone members with experience playing in the NBA.

Bradley was a first round draft pick in 2017 and traded to Utah on draft night. He has logged 65 minutes of action in 12 games with the Jazz over the last two years. Most of his professional experience has come with the Salt Lake City Stars of the G League, where he has averaged over 13-plus points per game and shot over 58 percent from the floor in both seasons with the team.

Reed has three years of NBA experience under his belt, which does not include one season with the Stars. He was undrafted in the 2011 Draft, came up through playing abroad and in the G League and finally enjoyed some success in the NBA once he made it with Brooklyn in 2015.

However, after a few more stops around the NBA, his career hit an impasse. In an attempt to make it back to the big show, he went the G League route and was selected with the first overall pick in last year’s G League draft by the Stars. Reed was enjoying a great season in Salt Lake City until an injury ended his year prematurely.

Other Stars players on the summer roster include Isaiah Cousins, Tre’Shaun Fletcher, Jairus Lyles and Tanner McGrew.

Jarrell Brantley, Justin Wright-Foreman and Miye Oni, who were all selected in the second round by the Jazz in last week’s NBA Draft, are also slated to play this summer.

The trio was introduced to the media on Thursday afternoon and stated their excitement to get started in their pro careers with the summer leagues.

Wright-Foreman, the de facto spokesman of the group, said they plan on bringing great energy to the floor.

“Just looking to compete every day, we’re competitors, that’s what we do at the end of the day,” said Wright-Foreman. “We want to win at all costs so whatever it takes, whatever coach needs us to do, whether it’s diving on a loose ball, go get an offensive rebound, go take a charge, we’re going to do it.”

The Salt Lake City Summer League will begin on July 1 at 7 p.m. and be broadcast on KJZZ.
