This will be Kemp’s third stint with the Chiefs. He previously played for Kansas City from 2017-20 and 2020-21. Kemp was recently a member of the New York Giants. New York released Kemp after he was placed on Injured Reserve in August because of a hamstring injury. The former Lancer was also a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2020.
Prior to his time in the NFL, Kemp, 27, was a standout player at Layton High. Following his high school career, the wide receiver played college football for the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors.
Kemp played at Hawai’i from 2013-16. During his time with the Rainbow Warriors, Kemp had 176 receptions for 2,570 yards and 13 touchdowns in 45 games.
He signed with the Chiefs after going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft.
In 2019, Kemp suffered a knee injury and was placed on Injured Reserve by the Chiefs. Later than season, Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers to win Super Bowl LVI.
During his professional career, Kemp has four catches for 42 yards and has been a great special teams player.
