LOGAN, UT – A pass interference penalty gave USU’s offense a second chance, leading to a Logan Bonner’s third touchdown of the game.
The Aggies hosted UConn at Maverik Stadium in Logan, UT in the 2022 season opener for both teams.
On 3rd-and-12 with 10:09 left and the Aggies in front 24-20, a Bonner pass fell incomplete at the feet of Kyle Van Leeuwen and UConn defensive back Kaleb Anthony.
It seemed as though the Aggies may be forced to punt once again, but a questionable pass interference penalty on Anthony gave the Aggies new life with a first down.
