No. 3 Corner Canyon Bounces Back With Big Win Over No. 6 Bingham

SALT LAKE CITY – The third-ranked Corner Canyon Chargers got a nice bounce-back win after defeating the sixth-ranked Bingham Miners 38-28.
Corner Canyon held a three-point lead at the end of the first before scoring 21 unanswered in the second quarter. That was the difference in the game as the Miners outscored Corner Canyon 21-7 in the second half but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback. Isaac Wilson threw three touchdown passes for the Chargers, finding Tate Kjar, Jackson Ames and Quinn Hale. Drew Patterson added two rushing touchdowns. For Bingham, Dallen Martinez rushed for two scores, while Carson Sudbury and Havea Fotu each had one TD on the ground.

#17 Layton 41 @ Lewiston (ID) 28
The Lancers jumped out to a 17-6 first-half lead and never looked back. Tyler Wensel threw a touchdown pass to Elias Parkinson and also ran in three more touchdowns. Gabe Carlson added a rushing TD for Layton.
#17 Riverton 56 @ Cyprus 6
It was all Riverton from the opening kickoff. They dropped 49 points in the first half. Tegan Morgan threw five touchdown passes, connecting with Owen Barton twice and one to Payton Nielsen, Logan Dunfield and Brayden Preston.
Hunter 14 @ West Jordan 31
West Jordan jumped out to a 28-0 first-half lead and never looked back. Dameon Crosby threw for two touchdowns, connecting with Jerome Myles and Ian Matau. Daitrez Johnson added a rushing TD.
Taylorsville 24 @ Juan Diego (3A) 25
The Warriors had the lead in the fourth quarter before Juan Diego ran in a 75-yard touchdown with less than nine minutes to go. John Lewis finished with one passing TD and Hayden Mezenen added a rushing score for the Soaring Eagle.
Granger 14 @ Davis 28
The Darts scored 21 unanswered points in the first quarter to lift them to victory. Jackson Stevens threw two touchdowns, one to Kaden Eggett and Easton Baggett. Josh Barker and Tyce Wilson each ran in a score for Davis.
Westlake 13 @ Syracuse 37
The Titans used a big first half to lead them to their first win of the season. Jake Hopkins’ only passing TD was to Noah Yeates. Brevin Hamblin, Josh Burns and Kobe Bennett ran in touchdowns for Syracuse.
#11 West 13 @ #4 American Fork 20
The Cavemen scored a field goal in the first quarter and that was it for both teams until late in the third quarter. Jace Hull found Trey Roberts for a touchdown to extend the lead to 10. Tyson Eggett had a scoop-and-score to give AF a 17-0 lead. Isaiah SueSue kept the Panthers in the game with a rushing touchdown before American Fork nailed another field goal. SueSue would add another TD for West but the comeback came up short.
Herriman 0 @ #1 Skyridge 43
It was all Skyridge from the opening kickoff. McCae Hillstead had three rushing touchdowns in the win, while Trent Call had the only Skyridge passing TD, finding Colby Smith. Tate Walker ran in a TD and star cornerback Smith Snowden had a pick-six.
Liberty (NV) 19 @ Lone Peak 20
The Knights used their stout defense to secure a big win over Liberty from Nevada. Kaden Hodson threw a touchdown to Crew McChesney and also ran in a TD in the win.
Clearfield 12 @ Roy 53
Three different Roy players threw touchdown passes, including two from Colby Frokjer and one from both Dru Gardner and Robert Young. They hit Da’Von Harvey, Braxton Morris, Corben Schuffenauer and Cove Rodriguez. Cole West, Jaydan Hurt and DaeQwan Snider each ran in a score for the Royals.

#23 East (5A) 43 @ Fremont 10
East finally picked up their first win of the season after a tough stretch to start the campaign. Amini Amone and Nunu Fonua each had two touchdowns, while Sione Vailahi and Little ran in scores.
