SALT LAKE CITY – Jonah Davis took the Springfield Cardinals Iron Man-themed jerseys perhaps too literal when he flew over the bullpen wall to make a catch against Corpus Christi.
The Cardinals hosted the Hooks at Hammons Field in Springfield, MO on Friday, June 17.
The jerseys aren't made of gold-titanium alloy, but Jonah Davis is pretty convincing. He's basically superhuman. 🦾 pic.twitter.com/8cCheNkAR7

In the top of the eighth inning with Luke Berryhill on first, Yainer Diaz lined a ball down the right field line.
Trailing 11-7 during the dog days of summer, it would have been easy for a player to pull up on a fly ball. In the world of sports, some might call it a ‘business decision’ to let the ball fall harmlessly into the bullpen.
For Davis, the 2018 15th round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the choice was easy. Davis raced from right-center toward the right field line, making the catch just before barreling head first over the low wall, into the Cardinals bullpen.
Undeterred by his fall, Davis quickly jumped to his feet, firing the live ball back into the infield. Berryhill advanced to second on the play, but the web gem lives on forever.
Corpus Christi went on to defeat the Cardinals 11-10.
