Lumberjacks Get Big Home Win Over Utah Valley

SALT LAKE CITY – The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks treed the Wolverines in a 78-59 win Thursday night.
Stephen F. Austin hosted the Wolverines at the William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, Texas on Thursday, February 3.
Sitting fourth in the Western Athletic Conference, a win for Utah Valley (5-4, 14-7) over the Lumberjacks (6-4, 14-8) would allow the Wolverines a chance to solidify their position near the top of the conference.

Utah Valley comes in looking to extend a three game winning streak while Stephen F. Austin looks to pick up their second straight victory.
The underdog Lumberjacks took a seven point advantage into the half, leading 38-31.
The Wolverines struggles to gain any offensive footing all night long as they were limited to 37 percent shooting and 35.7 percent from three.
The Lumberjacks balanced attack saw four players score in double-figures, led by 19 from Gavin Kensmil and 15 from Calvin Solomon. Solomon had a double-double, finishing with 12 rebounds as well.

Fardaws Aimaq and Connor Harding each finished with a dozen points for the Wolverines.
Utah Valley now travels to Huntsville, Texas where they will face Sam Houston State on Saturday, February 5. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. (MDT).
