Taysom Hill To Undergo Surgery For Lisfranc Injury

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton announced that Taysom Hill is expected to need multiple surgeries to repair the Lisfranc injury he suffered on Sunday.
Payton told reporters Hill will need a smaller, follow-up surgery and there is no specific timetable for his return.

Hill started the game for the Saints against the Atlanta Falcons before suffering the injury to his left foot. New Orleans beat Atlanta with a score of 30-20 on Sunday, January 9.
Hill suffered the injury on a one-yard run with 6:21 left in the first half.

The quarterback was able to walk off the field under his own power. Hill then walked to the locker room without a shoe on his left foot.
Hill suffered a season-ending Lisfranc fracture during BYU’s game against Nebraska in 2015.
When he exited the regular-season finale, Hill was 7/9 passing for 107 yards and one touchdown. He added five rushes for 18 yards.
Hill entered the game having thrown for 871 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions this season.
