SALT LAKE CITY – “COVID-19 health and safety protocols have forced the University of Utah women’s basketball program to postpone this weekend’s games against UCLA and USC”, according to a release from the team.

The Utes were scheduled to play the UCLA Bruins on Friday, January 7 and the USC Trojans on Sunday, January 9.

After going 8-3 in non-conference play, this will be the second consecutive weekend of postponements for the Utes.

Utah has yet to begin Pac-12 play after games at Oregon and Oregon State were postponed last week.

Utah is not the only program in the Pac-12 experiencing COVID related issues as the Washington Huskies also announced on January 3 that their games against Arizona State and Arizona scheduled for January 7 and 9 have been postponed.

Utah’s next scheduled game is Thursday, Jan. 13, against the California Golden Bears in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. MT with the game being aired on the Pac-12 Networks.
