SHREVEPORT, La. – BYU running back Tyler Allgeier moved into 5th all-time for career rushing yards in the bowl game against the UAB Blazers.
He passed Lakei Heimuli and Taysom Hill during the bowl game.
Allgeier popped off a 62 yard touchdown run to move in front of Taysom Hill in the records books.

The Cougars trailed 14-0 before offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick turned to Allgeier to get the offense going.
Rainy weather made it difficult for the Cougars to pass the football in the first half but the ground game helped BYU climb back into the game.

Allgeier is having one of the best seasons ever seen by a BYU running back. It remains to be seen whether or not he will return to the Cougars next season.
