SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – New York Jets rookie Zach Wilson will miss two to four weeks with a PCL injury, according to multiple reports.

Adam Schefter reported that Wilson suffered a sprained PCL.

Wilson suffered a knee injury during the first half of New York’s 54-13 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, October 24.

After releasing a deep ball into the end zone, the rookie quarterback was tackled in the backfield by New England’s Matthew Judon.

Wilson remained on the turf for a couple of minutes following the hit. He was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power.

After making his way to the sideline, Wilson was examined in the Jets’ medical tent before going to the locker room. New York initially said the quarterback was questionable to return with a knee injury. After the halftime break, the Jets announced that Wilson would not return in the second half.

When he exited the field, Wilson was 6/10 passing for 51 yards and the Jets trailed 17-0.

With the blowout loss, the Jets fell to a record of 1-5 on the season.

Wilson’s stats for 2021 are 104/181 passing for a 57.5 completion rate, 1,168 yards, four touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

New York’s next game is against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, October 31 at 11 a.m. (MDT) on CBS.
