Soifua announced his commitment to BYU on Twitter with the following message, “I want to start off with thanking my Heavenly Father. Everything I am and have is thanks to him…without him I have nothing.
”And to my family I am thankful for all the love and sacrifices you have shown me. All my uncles, auntes [sic], and cousins I am truly blessed to have you in my life.
”Thank you to all the Orem coaches who have made me into a better player and a better person and also for riding with me and pushing me to be the best version of myself.
“OFFA and GSA have given me many opportunities to go to the next level and I am extremely grateful for them.
”Most importantly I am truly thankful for my parents and sisters. For sticking with me no matter what and loving me for who I am. And to Mama I know you’re watch over me from above…I’m going to keep making you proud. Alofa Atu #GoCougs”
Vae Soifua is the second OL to commit to BYU Football this week
Soifua checks in at 6-foot-4, 285-pounds and is a rising prospect in the state of Utah. Rated as a three-star offensive lineman, Soifua played his first along the offensive line last year for Orem and pulled down offers from the likes of Hawaii, LA Tech, North Texas, Utah State, and UNLV.
Soifua is the second offensive lineman to commit to BYU this week. The other coming from Bountiful High athlete Tevin Ostler, who will play offensive line for the Cougars.
