Tony Finau, Tiger Woods, U.S. Team Rally To Win Presidents Cup

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah native Tony Finau, Tiger Woods, and the rest of the U.S. Team rallied for a historic comeback to win the Presidents Cup.

The U.S. Team came back to defeat the International team on Sunday, December 15.

After a Matt Kuchar birdie, the U.S. reached 15 1/2 points to secure their eighth consecutive Presidents Cup.

Woods, the captain for the U.S. Team, started the day off beating the International team’s Abraham Ancer. It was his 27th match victory in the event.

On Saturday, Finau came back from down four to come away from his match with a half-point.

After the first day of the tournament, the U.S. trailed the International team 3-1. Over the next three days, the Americans mounted a comeback and closed the win on the final day.

The Presidents Cup series stands at 11-1-1.
