Three-Star Athlete Koa Eldredge Commits To BYU Football & Baseball

PROVO, Utah – It’s not every day that a recruit a commitment and it benefits two programs in an athletic department. Well, that was the case on Thursday when Koa Eldredge committed to not only the BYU football team but also Mike Littlewood’s BYU baseball squad.
Koa Eldredge, a three-star dual-sport athlete in the class of 2020 from Honolulu, Hawaii, announced via his personal Twitter account that he was making his commitment to both BYU football and baseball.

Eldredge received his offer from BYU football and baseball teams last May. One month later, Eldredge attended BYU’s football camp and was an MVP among wide receivers at the camp. A 6-0, 185-pound receiver, Eldredge also held a football offer from Ken Niumatalolo and the Naval Academy.
In baseball, Eldredge is an outfielder and pitcher for Punahou High.
“Ever since my dad played and coached here for the baseball team, I’ve loved BYU,” said Eldredge. “I love what Coach Kalani, Coach Littlewood, and their staffs have been doing with their respective programs. I’m beyond humbled and grateful for the opportunity to play both sports at BYU.”
Koa’s father, David Eldredge was a player for the BYU baseball program from 1980-1983. His nickname was “Boy” during his playing career and he was an assistant coach under former head coach Vance Law.
BYU Football now has 14 commitments in the class of 2020 and Eldredge is the eighth highest-rated recruit in the class according to 247Sports.
The primary recruiter for Eldredge to the BYU football program was wide receivers coach Fesi Sitake. The two struck a close relationship that helped lead to Eldredge wanting to commit now before his senior year at Punahou High.
