Elijah Bryant Scores 31 Points In Summer League Game For Milwaukee Bucks

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Former BYU basketball star Elijah Bryant had the performance of the night on Monday in the NBA Summer League.
Bryant scored 31 points off the bench for the Milwaukee Bucks Summer League squad in defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The previous two games, Bryant was in the starting lineup for the Bucks. In those two games, he scored 11 points in total.
In 24 minutes of action on Monday, Bryant shot 11-of-15 from the field scoring 31 points. Bryant also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out two assists.

ESPN’s Mark Jones and Doris Burke were on the call for Monday night’s game from Cox Pavilion and Burke gave Bryant her player of the game honors, despite Bryant coming up on the losing end.
“I’ve enjoyed watching Elijah Bryant tonight Doris,” Mark Jones said. “Me too. He’s making a case for himself,” said Doris Burke.
Towards the end of the broadcast, Burke followed up on Bryant’s performance and said he was “dynamic.”
Last season, Bryant was in Las Vegas competing with the Philadelphia 76ers Summer League team but didn’t get many minutes as a rookie. After one season playing professionally in Israel, Bryant has appeared better equipped to withstand the physical NBA game.
Bryant’s 31 points on Monday are the second highest single-game total in points so far in the Vegas Summer League. Two players on Monday poured in 32 points each to earn top honors thus far. That was Dallas Mavericks guard Cameron Payne and San Antonio Spurs forward Lonnie Walker IV.
The Summer League Bucks and Elijah Bryant return to action on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. (MT) to take on team China. The game can be seen on NBA TV.
